So another month is ticking by and here are a few updates from Me.
Firstly I want to start off with the big news. I am pleased to announce that I have now become a volunteer and member at the Llangollen railway in north wales. It's ideal for me as I am half welsh. But please dont go asking me to speak welsh as im not that good at it.
Anyway onto more pressing news.
The Yorkshire Coast Express on Wednesday 3rd April sadly didn't go according to plan as the steam locomotive Ex LMS 8f 2-8-0 number 48151 sparked the lineside between York and Scarborough on the return leg of the journey. And I only found out 10mins after we should have departed by Fellow You tuber Richard Harnetty and West Coast Railway's driver Mick Kelly. And the tour didn't leave York till around 9:30pm and I didn't arrive back at Preston till just after 1am. Still despite the bad luck I had that evening I still had a good day out visiting the national railway museum and having a first close up look of the recently restored repatriated LNER A4 number 60008 Dwight D Eisenhower. So special thanks go to Richard Harnetty for the company on the day, Stewards and staff at Compass tours for their help during the day and in the evening and also the Crew's of 48151 on the day.
